It’s held at the busy Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and The Venetian, and with so much at stake, you can’t afford to fall behind when planning your accommodation.

But which CES hotels are better for exhibitors and attendees? Let’s dive in!

How Does Las Vegas Affect The CES Hotel Landscape?

Let’s face it: Las Vegas could be an entirely different country all on its own. Widely regarded as a global entertainment capital, it’s no surprise the hotel scene in Vegas operates a little differently compared to everywhere else in America. But what does that mean in practice? It’s quite simple:

  • In Vegas, the hotels themselves are often the attraction.
  • In Vegas, the city revolves around the Las Vegas Strip.
  • Vegas has some form of public transport: the Las Vegas Monorail.
  • Gambling is a core part of the city’s identity and many Las Vegas hotels have gaming sections.
  • There are many major Las Vegas conventions like CES.

That means you’ll need to think differently when you plan on attending Las Vegas hotels for CES, especially if you’re looking to avoid overspending.

What Are The Best Hotels For CES In Las Vegas?

With so much going on in and around Vegas, it’s vital to prioritize your needs when booking accommodation before attending CES. Different people have different priorities when it comes to what they’re looking to get out of a hotel stay in Vegas, so think carefully.

In our experience, we’ve found that most business exhibitors and attendees tend to look for these four attributes when thinking about CES accommodation in Vegas:

  1. Fast and/or close access to the trade show venue(s).
  2. Larger suites for team stays with collaborative working areas.
  3. Quiet suites without gaming options.
  4. Best value locations that balance budget with access.

Depending on which of these concerns speaks most to you, here are some top Vegas hotel picks to try for your next CES accommodation:

Hotels Closest To The LVCC

  • Westgate Las Vegas: Located just above the LVCC with its own Monorail station, Westgate is just a walk away from the venue and boasts exceptional transport links. It’s a great choice for exhibitors when shuttling trade show staff or samples back and forth.
  • Renaissance Las Vegas (Marriott): The Renaissance is a non-gaming, smoke-free business hotel on the south side of the LVCC. It’s just a short walk away and also good for focused teams needing quieter nights.
  • SpringHill Suites LVCC (Marriott): On the other side of Paradise Road, opposite The Westgate, you’ll find SpringHill Suites. It’s a business-friendly hotel just a short walk away from the convention center.
  • Residence Inn LVCC (Marriott): Marriott’s Residence Inn offers suite-style rooms with kitchens, all close to the LVCC for easy access.
  • Resorts World Las Vegas: Resorts World is closer to the LVCC West Hall, just on the other side of The Strip.

Hotels Closest To The Venetian Expo (Sands)

The Venetian Expo also hosts part of CES and many other top US trade shows.

  • The Venetian / The Palazzo: Physically connected to The Venetian Expo, you won’t find anything closer! Bear in mind that it’s more on the luxury end.
  • Harrah’s (Caesar’s): This budget-friendly gaming hotel is only one stop from the LVCC on the Las Vegas Monorail transit system and an easy walk from Venetian Expo.
  • Encore (Wynn): Encore is now directly connected to LVCC Central Plaza via the Encore Vegas Las Vegas Loop transit station.

Hotels With Larger Suites And Groupwork Areas

  • Elara Center (Hilton): Hilton’s Elara offers studio to 4-bedroom suites with kitchens and is connected to Miracle Mile Shops for easy catering.
  • Durango Casino And Resort: Durango’s parlor suite connects two queen rooms to a king, providing ample space for teams of up to eight people.

Quieter, Non-gaming Hotel Choices

When it comes down to negotiating better deals on the CES trade show floor, exhibitors and attendees need to be wide awake! As such, you might prefer these non-gaming hotels with a quieter ambiance:

  • Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas: The Four Seasons is a prestigious non-gaming, non-smoking hotel within a resort. It’s very popular among executives!
  • Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas: This ultra-luxurious, non-gaming, and non-smoking hotel lies on the prestigious Strip. As far as C-suite privacy is concerned, you won’t find anything better.
  • Vdara: Vdara is completely casino-free and smoke-free, with a profoundly calm atmosphere. It’s not too far from all the action on the Strip, giving you the best of both worlds.
  • The Signature at MGM Grand: For casino-free towers that have their own quiet lobbies and pools, look no further than MGM Grand’s Signature.

Best Budget Hotels

We get it: Vegas can be shockingly expensive. If all you need is a place to stay that won’t break the bank, consider these:

  • SAHARA Las Vegas: A north-Strip value pick with a Monorail station at the property! It’s easy to hop on and get to the LVCC.
  • Flamingo (Caesar’s): Flamingo is right next to the Flamingo/Caesars Monorail station. Its optimal location makes it valuable for teams splitting time between Venetian Expo and LVCC.
  • Silver Sevens: Located about a mile from the strip, Silver Sevens Casino and Hotel is further away but highly budget-friendly.

What Are Las Vegas Resort Fees?

Here’s something you may not know: the advertised price for a hotel in Vegas might not be the price you end up paying. For decades, hidden “add-on” resort fees have been commonplace in Vegas, resulting in increased final accommodation costs that exceed what is advertised.

Fortunately, recent FTC rulings have started changing the Vegas hotel landscape and many hotels now include the final price in their advertising. Note that this doesn’t mean resort fees have disappeared: they’re just now included upfront most of the time.
