Interactive Training and Demo Activation for Amazon at AKA Boule Project Overview

We worked with Amazon to design and build their activation space for AKA Boule 2026, the 72nd Boule of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. The event was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Boule is AKA’s flagship international convention, and the 2026 edition brought together more than 27,000 members from chapters across 15 countries and territories, making it one of the largest gatherings in the sorority’s history.

Amazon’s brief called for a 30′ x 30′ corner stand, open on two sides, built to function as a working training and engagement space rather than a traditional showcase stand. Their interactive display needed to support live lectures and workshops for up to 25 attendees at a time, give visitors a hands-on way to explore Amazon’s software, and still offer a comfortable, informal area for one-on-one conversations.

We built the stand around three long training tables, each fitted with individual laptops and arranged theatre-style in front of an 85-inch screen used to run live presentations throughout the show. We also built three dedicated demo pods along the back wall, each with its own screen and touchpoint, giving attendees a hands-on way to engage with different areas of Amazon’s software independently. At the front of the stand, a branded reception counter and a lounge area with a sofa and secondary screen gave the Amazon team a relaxed space for informal conversations, while a fully stocked storeroom in the back corner supported the team throughout the week.

With an incredibly tight turnaround between confirmation and show dates, we built the entire stand out of our own Las Vegas production facility. Fabricating locally, right in the show’s home city, meant no cross-country shipping and gave us the in-house capacity to turn the project around fast without compromising on quality.

The Problem

  • Design and build a fully-functioning training and engagement space, not just a branded display, within a 30′ x 30′ corner footprint open on two sides.
  • Accommodate live lectures and presentations for up to 25 attendees at once, each needing their own laptop and workspace.
  • Provide large-format screen support for presentation and lecture content throughout the show.
  • Give attendees a way to interact hands-on with Amazon’s software, independently of the scheduled sessions.
  • Create a separate, relaxed area for informal one-on-one conversations away from the structured training tables.
  • Include a central reception point and a functional storeroom for the exhibitor team, within the same footprint as the training and demo areas.
  • Work to an incredibly tight production and delivery turnaround ahead of AKA Boule 2026, without the lead time for cross-country shipping.

The Solution

We designed and built a multi-function stand combining live training, hands-on demos, and informal meeting space in one footprint.

Key elements of the solution included:

  • Three long training tables fitted with individual laptops, arranged classroom-style for up to 25 attendees, positioned in front of an 85-inch screen for live lectures and presentations.
  • Three dedicated interactive demo pods built into the back wall, each with its own screen, letting attendees explore different areas of Amazon’s software hands-on and at their own pace.
  • A branded front reception counter, positioned to greet visitors arriving from either open side of the corner stand.
  • A dedicated lounge area with a sofa and secondary screen, giving the Amazon team a relaxed space for informal, one-on-one conversations away from the training tables.
  • A fully-fitted storeroom with shelving, built into the rear corner of the stand to support the exhibitor team throughout the show.
  • Full-height branded graphics wrapping the return walls, TV wall, and demo pod wall to keep the Amazon identity consistent across the stand.

The Result

We delivered a fully functioning training and demo space for Amazon at one of the largest AKA Boules in the sorority’s history.

Outcomes included:

  • A stand that worked simultaneously as a live lecture venue, hands-on demo space, and informal meeting area, without any of the three functions crowding the others.
  • Seating and laptop stations for up to 25 attendees at a time, keeping Amazon’s scheduled sessions running throughout the show.
  • Strong attendee engagement with the three interactive demo pods, giving visitors a self-directed way to explore Amazon’s software outside of formal sessions.
  • Smooth, on-time delivery despite an incredibly tight production turnaround, thanks to building the stand entirely in-house at our Las Vegas facility.
  • A comfortable, well-equipped home base for the Amazon team for the full run of the show, from reception through to back-of-house storage.

The project reflected the value of the Booth Exhibits™ Las Vegas production facility, delivering a complex, multi-function activation space at speed, on the show’s home turf, for one of the largest gatherings on the Black sorority and professional calendar.
